The Concordia College Global Vaccine Institute (CCGVI) was formally established in 2007, building upon an existing vaccine research initiative dating back to 2001. The CCGVI was founded in part to support and bolster the innovative and quickly developing vaccine industry in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

The CCGVI conducts cutting edge research in many areas of vaccinology, specializing in global health issues afflicting the poorest of poor individuals. We have active research groups investigating vaccine development against tropical diseases such as hookworm, whipworm and roundworm. With close to a dozen academic and private partners worldwide, the CCGVI is advancing the forefront of global health and vaccine development against neglected tropical diseases.

The CCGVI finalizes the establishment of a new field research site in the Dhaka District,  Division of Manikganj, Bangladesh.
